Normanby Hall & North Lincolnshire museum

Normanby Hall & North Lincolnshire museum

Normanby Hall is a classical English mansion located near Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. The present Hall was built in 1825–30 and replaced a previous 17th century building. The Hall is now in the care of the North Lincolnshire Council. The former 1.4 km˛ estate around the Hall is now a Country Park. Within it, there are a restored working Victorian walled garden, a farming museum, a stableyard, duck ponds, a deer sanctuary, a fishing lake, a miniature railway and broadleaf woodland.

In the North Lincolnshire Museum, visitors can discover the stories of North Lincolnshire through many interactive exhibits.
Nature, the Victorian era, the People's War, archaeology ... the museum displays draw on different collections, reflecting not only the great changes in the region but also the everyday lives of ordinary people. There is also an exciting courtyard garden to explore and a changing programme of temporary exhibitions.
